Jordan & Chelsea are very dear friends of ours, & when they got in touch & asked us if we would photograph their wedding we, of course, jumped at the opportunity - not just because they are friends of ours, but also because what photographer wouldn’t want to photograph such an amazing couple who are so madly in love?
Jay & Chelsea have an amazing story that has defied distance, & wedding planning that has defied what Covid-19 had planned!
For their small intimate ceremony, Jay & Chelsea decided on the grounds of the Aghadoe Heights Hotel in Killarney, County Kerry, in Ireland. To say that the location was stunning would be a huge understatement - not only was it perfect for an intimate ceremony, but it had an amazing view of the lakes of Killarney & surrounding peaks. While low cloud covered most of the summits of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks, the mountaineer in me was still nerding out on some amazing views of mountains that are most certainly on my to-do list - anyone want to get married on top of Carrauntoohil?
For the couple & bridal party photo session, we braved the Killarney tourist traffic to make our way out to the beautiful Muckross House & Gardens, & the photos we captured there truly captivated the heart of what this amazing couple’s big day was all about.
For both preparation & reception, the beautifully suited, intimate Beaufort House in Beaufort, County Kerry was selected. The house itself offered some amazing amenities that are perfect for a small & intimate wedding, while still being large enough to cater for a larger group of guests should the weather not allow for any outdoor meals or seating.
Makeup was done by Lisa Kerr of Lisa Kerr Makeup, a Cork-based makeup artist, whom we would highly recommend!
